Now after 10 years of relentless World Tour Competition schedules behind him, Cory’s new job is to freely prowl the globe in search of epic waves. While Cory has enjoyed his time and freedom off the tour, don’t be surprised if he re-qualifies for the WT again as the competitive fire still rages within. Nevertheless, Cory Lopez has found great success in both competition and free surfing, from winning the 2001 Billabong Pro to discovering a perfect left in Africa; he has lived the surfing dream.
